Medical Training Office and the Medical Trainer Preparation Programme

Faculty of Medicine Student Union in partnership with the Emergency Medicine and Support Centre — Misrata. 2025 — ongoing. Issued the decision establishing the office and designed a three-level training programme of 17 workshops.

• Basic level — five workshops: Vital Signs, First Aid, Injection Skills, BLS, History Taking
• Intermediate level — six workshops: Trauma Life Support, ECG Basics, CBC Interpretation, CVS & Respiratory Examination, Fracture Management & Splinting, Basic Suture Skills
• Advanced level — six workshops: Code Blue Team, Advanced ECG, Advanced Suture Skills, Essential Orthopedic Examination, GIT System Examination, Wound Care
• A comprehensive cooperation agreement covering trainer accreditation, certificates, training materials, and shared goals in community service and awareness
• Two cohorts graduated, 25 trainees each — 50 trainees in total
• The office and the agreement both remain in force after the end of the term

MERAS Medical Camp

Chair of the organising committee, as a member of the General Student Union of the University of Misrata. February 2025, in partnership with the Red Crescent Society, the Emergency Medicine and Support Centre, and Misrata Medical Centre. 24 workshops and 900 participants from the faculties of medicine, pharmacy, and health sciences.

First aid course

In cooperation with the Libyan Red Crescent Society — Misrata branch, June 2024. Three consecutive groups, one full week each, with 180 participants.

Drop of Life blood donation campaign — first and second editions

In cooperation with Misrata Health Services Administration, the Red Crescent Society, Ras Al-Tuba Blood Bank, and the Emergency Medicine and Support Centre. Around 200 blood units in total.

• First edition, June 2024: awareness drive in the Central Park and the major markets, plus three days of donation at the Faculty of Engineering — 108 blood units
• Second edition, June 2025: donation points at Munir Market, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Information Technology — 90 blood units

Knowledge Trip — first and second editions

An introductory trip for first-year students inside Misrata Medical Centre, in cooperation with Ibn Sina Laboratory and Fakhamat Al-Tareeq Company. Around 400 students in total.

• First edition, January 2025: 180 students
• Second edition, January 2026: 220 students, expanded with a science competition in the centre's lecture theatre

University of Misrata Qur'an memorisation competition — second edition

Ramadan / March 2025 at Al-Qalam Mosque, in cooperation with the university administration, the Activities Office, and the General Authority for Endowments and Islamic Affairs — Misrata Office. 60 entrants across several categories.

Baseerat Sa'em campaign

Ramadan 2026 at Gouz Al-Teek Family Park in Misrata, in cooperation with the Emergency Medicine and Support Centre and Ibn Sina Laboratory, supported by La Vita Restaurant & Café and the Kawkab Al-Alaab toy shop. An awareness campaign on healthy eating during fasting and the risks of an inverted food pyramid.

Check Today, Protect Tomorrow campaign

2025, marking World Hypertension Day. Held at the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Arts, and the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, with on-site blood pressure measurement for students.

The Little Doctor campaign

Eid al-Fitr 2026. A humanitarian campaign supporting children with cancer: visiting the paediatric ward at the National Cancer Institute — Misrata, greeting patients and their families, and handing out gifts.

School introductory visit

Hosting students from Al-Kafaa School at the Faculty of Medicine and introducing them to the study and the medical path. 2025.

Cooperation agreement with Al-Yaqeen International Training Company

November 2024. An agreement giving University of Misrata students a 50% discount on the company's courses.
